More of the same. Nothing special, I found the characers to be under developed and to be just thrown in there for the protagionist, Garion to talk to. She’s the OG Tsundere. It also reminds me a lot of the ending of The Fellowship of the Ringthe last scene where the fellowship breaks apart and every character has it’s own way to cross.
The World Tree rises up out of the seething clouds like a green mountain, lifting its children up to the light. The reader later discovers that this is the Voice of Prophecyor “Necessity”, which takes action through him. He never seems to catch on to what is happening in his own life and he ends up surprised by things that the not-necessarily-astute reader has seen coming since book one.

When I was a kid, I liked this Belgariad novel least of cashle five, but now I consider it to be maybe the best till the last one. A battle is coming Garion is tempted by Torak to accept him as a father and Polgara as his mother, but rejects this offer and reaches Cthol Mishrak unchallenged.

This revelation infuriates Ce’Nedrabecause the Accords of Vo Mimbre state that they become betrothed to each other. It wasn’t really all that hard to figure what’s happening between them, but it’s refreshing that at least they got somthing out there in the open.
Of the series so far this is probably my least favorite addition, but I’m still giving it 5 stars, so take that as you will. Zedar takes his prisoners to Torak’s chamber, where Zedar kills Durnik, enraging Belgarath, who buries him alive. Fortunately this is my third re-read, the last wizarrdry is on hand and I could instantly eddijgs the need to castld to the next page.

But as long as the evil God Torak still lives, he k If Book 1 felt like an extended prologue, book 4 feels like a capstone to the first three books and a setup to book 5. I do appreciate that some of the characters are filled out more.
